Navodaya College of Nursing, Raichur, successfully organized a Live Screening Session in observance of the International Day Against Drug Abuse & Illicit Trafficking to promote awareness and encourage the development of a healthier, safer, and drug-free society.
The programme featured an inspiring address by the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Karnataka, Shri D. K. Shivakumar, who emphasized the importance of awareness, prevention, youth empowerment, and collective responsibility in addressing the growing challenge of drug abuse.
Students and faculty members actively participated in the session, gaining valuable insights into the harmful effects of substance abuse and the importance of making informed, healthy lifestyle choices. The programme reinforced the significance of individual and community participation in promoting health, responsibility, and social well-being.
The event was successfully coordinated by Prof. Immanuel, reflecting the institution’s ongoing commitment to creating awareness on important public health issues and fostering responsible citizenship among future healthcare professionals.
