Navodaya College of Nursing Conducts Smart India Hackathon Training and Final Boot Camp
Raichur: Navodaya College of Nursing, Raichur, organized a 3-Day Training Programme and Final Boot Camp on Smart India Hackathon (SIH) from 19-08-2026 to 22-08-2026 under the guidance of the Academic Development and Research Department, Navodaya Education Trust, Raichur.
The Programme was conducted with the special guidance and support of Mr. Rammohan Gupta, Director, Navodaya Education Trust and Prof. D. Hetzy Suthanakumari, Principal, Navodaya College of Nursing, Raichur, with the aim of promoting innovation, creativity, teamwork and problem-solving skills among students.
The training sessions focused on SIH problem statements, design thinking, brainstorming, creative problem-solving, Artificial Intelligence and emerging technologies. Special emphasis was given to developing innovative solutions for healthcare and community-based challenges.
The Final Boot Camp was held on 22 August 2026 at the Virtual Library, NET Campus, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The sessions included AI-powered ideation, solution development, prototype planning, team mentoring, mock pitching and expert feedback.
Mr. Uma Desu, Gen AI Pioneer, AI Strategist, Innovator and Mentor, served as the resource person and guided students in transforming their ideas into feasible and innovative solutions.
Students presented their ideas and received valuable suggestions to improve their prototypes, impact, feasibility and scalability. The programme enhanced their critical thinking, creativity, communication, teamwork and presentation skills.
Mrs. Kavita Patil, SPOC – Smart India Hackathon, coordinated the programme successfully. The event concluded with a valedictory session and vote of thanks, encouraging students to develop innovative solutions to real-world problems and actively participate in the Smart India Hackathon.
