Navodaya College of Nursing Organizes “Healthylicious Plate Competition” on World Health Day 2026
The Department of Adult Health Nursing, Navodaya College of Nursing, Raichur, organized the “Healthylicious Plate Competition” on 7 April 2026 in the Nutrition Laboratory to commemorate World Health Day 2026 under the theme “Together for Health. Stand with Science.”
The programme aimed to promote awareness of balanced nutrition, healthy eating habits, and preventive healthcare among nursing students. Prof. D. Hetzy Suthanakumari, Principal, addressed the participants, highlighting the importance of healthy lifestyle practices and balanced nutrition in disease prevention.
Students showcased creatively designed healthy plates featuring balanced food groups and explained their nutritional value and health benefits. The competition was judged by Prof. Shameem Gulnaz Unnisa, Nursing Superintendent, Navodaya Medical College Hospital & Research Centre, and Prof. Rakhee Sarkar, Department of Community Health Nursing, Navodaya College of Nursing.
The event successfully encouraged students to apply nutritional knowledge, promote healthy dietary practices, and reinforce the importance of preventive health, making it a meaningful celebration of World Health Day 2026.
