REPORT OF CONTINUING NURSING EDUCATION

Navodaya School & College of Nursing, Raichur has organized a continuing Nursing Education as a part of Silver Jubilee celebrations on “Best safety practices – conclave for nurses” on 31-08-2018 at 10:30 am for 2 hours programme was conducted in Dr. Gurumurthy Hall.

The programme was started with invocation song by Ms. Tejaswini Ist year B. Sc(N) and followed by lighting the lamp by the Dignitaries.  The welcome address was given by Mrs. Shilpa, Asst. Professor Navodaya School & College of Nursing, Raichur.

On the inaugural function Dr. T. Srinivas, Registrar, Navodaya Education Trust, who was Chief Guest of the function enlightened on nursing practices and safety of nurses and patients.  He emphasized on the competency of nursing barrier procedures to protect themselves and patients from emerging diseases.  Further sir elaborated about nurses’ fitness and personal hygiene to give a comprehensive care by adopting leadership qualities and bringing glory to the profession.

The resource person Mr. Kiran M.Sc (N) who was invited for the programme as guest speaker spoke on Infection Control in Hospital and acquired diseases; He lectured on Safety Practices and Devices such as protection gears from emerging diseases to both the nurses and the patients.

The function was presided by Prof. Sujatha Lakshmi. R. Principal, Navodaya School & College of Nursing, Raichur. Various heads and Principals of NET were present & graced the occasion. Different schools & colleges of nursing students & faculties participated in large number.

The vote of thanks was given by Mrs. Tabitha, Lecturer, Navodaya School & College of Nursing, Raichur. The CNE was concluded thereafter.
