Navodaya College of Nursing Conducts Menstrual Hygiene Awareness Programme 2026
Navodaya College of Nursing, Raichur, successfully organized a Menstrual Hygiene Awareness Programme at Government Higher Primary School, Zaheerabad, Raichur, as part of its commitment to community health promotion and adolescent health education.
The interactive health education session focused on creating awareness among adolescent girls about menstrual hygiene, healthy practices, personal care, and the importance of breaking myths and misconceptions associated with menstruation. To encourage safe menstrual hygiene management, sanitary napkins were distributed to all the participants.
The programme was actively conducted by B.Sc. Nursing V Semester students under the guidance of faculty members, enabling the students to apply their knowledge in community health while empowering young girls with the confidence and essential skills to manage menstruation safely, hygienically, and with dignity.
The initiative reflects the institution’s continued commitment to promoting women’s health, preventive healthcare, and community well-being through health education and outreach activities.
