IQAC Organizes Three-Day Orientation Programme at
Date: 12th to 14th January 2026
The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Navodaya College of Nursing, Raichur, organized a three-day Orientation Programme titled “Transitional to Professional Nursing Education: Quality, Ethics & Excellence” from 12 to 14 January 2026 for B.Sc. Nursing first-semester students.
The programme began with an inaugural session anchored by Mrs. Kavita Patil, IQAC Assistant Coordinator, who welcomed the gathering and emphasized the importance of quality, student responsibility, and professional ethics in education. The session was presided over by Prof. D. Hetzy Suthanakumari, Principal, who addressed students on discipline, professionalism, and ethical conduct. The inauguration included the ceremonial lighting of the lamp and an invocation song by Ms. Jennifer Biju and Ms. Giya C. Radhakrishnan.
Academic sessions covered key areas: Quality, Discipline, and Professionalism by Prof. Tabitha Raveesh; Curriculum Orientation by Prof. Pailat A; Time Management and Study Skills by Prof. Jyoti C; and Professional Communication Skills by Prof. Immanuel. The final day focused on Quality Research and Innovation by Mrs. Kavita Patil and Enhancing Clinical Competence by Prof. Rakhee Sarkar.
The programme concluded with an interactive feedback session led by Ms. S. Naseem Banu and Ms. Heena Fareen. Overall, the orientation effectively introduced students to professional values, ethical practice, academic excellence, and quality assurance, reflecting IQAC’s commitment to continuous improvement in nursing education.
