World Osteoporosis day
On the account of the world osteoporosis day, the Navodaya college of nursing celebrated world osteoporosis day on 21-10-2017 at Singanodi,Raichur. It was conducted by the Medical-surgical department faculty Mrs. Shilpa,Mrs. Sapha.M.B, and Mrs.Sophia. It was co-ordinated by the 2nd B.Sc and G.N.M Nursing students.
The programme commenced at 10:00 A.M and a huge number of locals gathered. Health education was given regarding the Osteoporosis,its etiological factors,nutritional management and exercises which improves the functionality and strength of bones. A set of routine exercises were taught by the students to the locals,specially aged people to improve their skeletal function. Many people participated in the exercises and were benefited by the exercise programme. People’s queries were also addressed by the faculty and the students.
