As a part of curriculum prescribed by RGUHS, Bangalore an industrial visit to M/s. Shilpa Pharma Life Sciences Ltd, Chicksugur industrial area, Raichur was arranged on Saturday 27.08.2022. Total fifty students (B.Pharm & Pharm.D) along with two staff members Dr.T Shivaraj Gouda, Professor Dept. of Pharmacology & Dr. Chandramouli, Professor Dept. of Pharm. Chemistry have accompanied. This plant mainly deals with manufacturing of Onco & Non Onco  US FDA approved bulk drugs. Our college team has reached the industry at 11AM, after security check, we entered premises, initially they introduced regarding the industry in detail by power point presentation by HRD Manger Mr.Aravind. Later we visited different departments like Quality Control, Manufacturing units, Storage of raw materials and Research & Development center. Heads of various departments have explained the functioning of equipment’s/instruments in detail to the students. Students have understood the functioning of equipment’s and clarified their doubts. Students were happy with the visit and the kind of hospitality. After photo session, our team departed at 4PM. Overall the visit was very informative and memorable one.
