Healing Minds–2026: Every Mind Matters, Every Life Counts.
Navodaya Medical College, Department of Pharmacology, in association with Navodaya School and College of Nursing, Raichur, successfully organized a one-day interdisciplinary workshop titled “Healing Minds–2026: Every Mind Matters, Every Life Counts” on 25th July 2026 at Dr. S. R. Hegde Silver Jubilee Auditorium, Navodaya Medical College Hospital & Research Centre, Raichur.
The programme was inaugurated in the presence of Dr. T. Srinivasa, Registrar, Navodaya Education Trust, Raichur; Dr. Gurudatta Pawar, Dean/Principal, Navodaya Medical College, Raichur; and Prof. Hetzy Suthanakumari D, Principal, Navodaya College of Nursing, Raichur.
The workshop featured expert sessions by distinguished psychiatrists and nursing experts, including Dr. Aditya Pandurangi, Dr. T. Sanjana, Dr. Srinivasan P., Assistant Professor, College of Nursing, AIIMS Mangalagiri, and Dr. Flavia Sharlet Noronha, Assistant Professor, Department of Psychiatric Nursing, Manipal College of Nursing, MAHE, Manipal. The sessions focused on anxiety disorders, depression and suicide prevention, mental health across the lifespan, substance use disorders, psychiatric emergencies, crisis intervention, and de-escalation techniques.
A total of 426 participants, including faculty members, students, and healthcare professionals, actively participated in the scientific sessions and interactive discussions, strengthening their knowledge and skills in evidence-based mental healthcare.
The workshop was conducted under the observation of Mr. Siddramappa Sajjan, KSNC Observer and Principal, Yadgir Institute of Medical Sciences College of Nursing, Yadgir. Eight (8) KSNC Credit Points were awarded to all eligible participants. The programme concluded with certificate distribution and was widely appreciated for its academic excellence and practical relevance in advancing mental healthcare education.
