MAKARA SANKRANTI CELEBRATION

Navodaya College of Nursing, Raichur celebrated Makara Sankranti organized by the B.Sc. (N) I Semester students. The programme commenced at 10:00 A.M. with an invocation song rendered by Ms. Jyothis and team. Ms. Punya, delivered the welcome address and greeted the gathering. This was followed by the lighting of the traditional lamp by the dignitaries. A Lakshmi Pooja ceremony was conducted by Dr. Dananagowda from the Adult Health Nursing Department. The Chief Guest, Prof. D. Hetzy Suthanakumari, addressed the gathering and emphasized cultural values. Ms. Parvathi proposed the vote of thanks. Sweets were distributed to all participants. Fun activities such as kite flying added enthusiasm to the event. The programme concluded with the judging of the Rangoli competition by Prof. Rakhee Sarkar and Prof. Tabitha Raveesh and awarded with the certificates for the winner.
