Lamp Lighting Ceremony at Navodaya College of Nursing, Raichur
Navodaya College of Nursing proudly organized the Lamp Lighting Ceremony for the 33rd batch of GNM students and the 32nd batch of B.Sc Nursing students on 27th September 2025 at Dr. Hegde Silver Jubilee Hall, NET Campus, Raichur.
The auspicious event was held under the patronage of Sri S. R. Reddy, Honorable Chairman, Navodaya Education Trust. The ceremony was graced by Dr. Mahesha P, Dean of Nursing, RGUHS, Bengaluru as the Chief Guest. Distinguished Guests of Honor included Dr. T. Srinivas, Registrar, Navodaya Education Trust; Dr. B. Devanand, Dean-cum-Principal, Navodaya Medical College; and Dr. Arun K. Nayak, Medical Superintendent, Navodaya Medical College Hospital & Research Centre, Raichur.
The program was also attended by Dr. Suresh Babu, Director of Administration; Dr. V.R.M. Gupta, Director of Academic Development & Research; Dr. A.S. Anand, Vice Principal, Navodaya Medical College; and Dr. Doddaiah, Principal, NET Pharmacy College.
The ceremony featured the traditional lamp lighting ritual, the Florence Nightingale Oath, soulful cultural performances, and inspiring addresses by the dignitaries, instilling in students the values of dedication, compassion, and service in the nursing profession.
This memorable milestone in the academic journey of budding nurses concluded with a vote of thanks followed by the National Anthem, leaving the gathering inspired and proud.
