International Women’s Day Celebration
The International Women’s Day celebration at Navodaya College of Nursing, Raichur, on 14th March 2026 was conducted with great enthusiasm. The program began with an invocation song, followed by a welcome address by Prof. Immanuel, Professor, Department of Child Health Nursing, and coordinator of the event. Ms. Preeti, Lecturer, introduced the chief guest, and the theme of the day was presented by a student representative, after which the chief guest was felicitated.
The highlight of the event was the talk by Dr. Vanishree M on the theme “Give to Gain,” emphasizing that empowering women through freedom, education, and protection from exploitation is essential for strong families, a better society, and a progressive nation.
Following this, Prof. Hetzy Suthanakumari spoke on the power of women and their vital role in society and organizations, highlighting the contributions of influential women leaders and encouraging support for women’s leadership.
A mime performance by 7th Semester B.Sc. Nursing students depicted the life of a girl at different stages, highlighting her importance, strength, and contributions to family and society. The program concluded with a vote of thanks by Prof. Rakhee S, expressing gratitude to the chief guest, management, faculty, and students for making the celebration successful.
