OBG Nursing

The Department of OBG Nursing is one of the clinical nursing speciality departments of the Institute. The department aims towards excellence in clinical practice and strives to provide the students with various aspect of midwifery to become competent and caring midwives. The department assists the student nurses to assimilate and ever-growing body of scientific knowledge and to develop the technical and analytical skills necessary to apply that knowledge into practice.

Functions & Activities

The department of OBG is leading a close interaction between the obstetricians, physicians, sinologists and neonatologists for an overall improvement in obstetric outcome. The department also maintains records and other relevant reports and conducts projects and research work.

Staff and students are encouraged to contribute articles on nursing and participate in conferences, seminars, workshops & camps. Programmes for quality improvement in staff are also held. Health education for clients and their families, conducting journal reviews and research guidance for undergraduates and postgraduates are other activities carried out by the department.
